Determination of Stress and Anxiety Levels of Parents of Infants Staying in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Introduction: Anxiety and stress in parents’ lives during their babies' NICU stays can have a negative impact on all family members. This study aimed to measure the anxiety levels of parents infants neonatal intensive care unit receiving oxygen support.
 Methods: was conducted based cross-sectional design with 123 between 1 August 2020 01 May 2021. Data gathered using "State-Trait Inventory (STAI)", "Parental Stressor Scale: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (PSS: NICU)", "Parent Information Form Infant Form".
 Results: The STAI scores were considered "moderately anxious" stressed" overall mean PSS: subscales scale. It found that number children, employment, infant gender, type delivery, environment characteristics, parents' communication health personnel, condition influenced subscales.
 Conclusion: Providing holistic family-centred approach parents, closest relatives who will create future generations as well educational counselling roles played by nurses reducing experienced positive health.
